Monash Motorsport at the 2012 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix
Following last year's success, the Monash team has gained the privilege of a 2012 Formula 1TM appearance!
This will include a driving demonstration at the 2012 Australian Grand Prix plus involvement with the 2012 'Driving Science Driving the Future' initiative. Congratulations to the team for gaining this opportunity to showcase the hard work of our team members and sponsors.

Hat-trick for Monash Motorsport
Monash Motorsport has successfully defended their title in the 2011 Australasian competition - winning FSAE-A for the third year running!
2011 saw tough competition from 23 Australasian teams. With a lighter car and more fuel efficient engine Monash Motorsport claimed 1st overall place, 1st in endurance and winner of the FISITA award for engineering excellence.

About Formula SAE
Inspired by the original Formula SAE USA competition which commenced in 1981, Formula SAE Australasia brings together over 20 universities from around the country and pacific-region.
The program is accredited by the Society of Automotive Engineers and is run all over the world, and is recognized as the foremost 'breeding ground' for the engineers of the future.
The competition challenges teams to design, manufacture and race a small formula style prototype racing car. Working within technical regulations ensuring the safety of its participants, SAE teams are encouraged to experiment with new design and performance concepts rewarded by the judging panel; promoting innovation and originality in the students' designs.
Through its SAE Team, Monash Motorsport provides Monash University students with practical engineering experience in a competitive project-based team environment, allowing the development of skills above and beyond that of a standard graduate.
